  The members want to know our Lord better. There are many ministry outreaches locally as well as international. Sr Pastor Devereau Hubbard III is learned, practical, and gracious - always pointing to the surpassing characteristics of Jesus as willing and able to help us apprehend a greater value in life and death. An excellent communicator, Devereau keeps sermons and worship lively and relevant. I've formed many deep relationships here, folks wanting to come alongside in our mutual growth. Peace and love abounds.

  My grandfather was a Christian man. In his deathbed he spoke his peace with God. Many times in his last years he talked to pastor Hubbard, but when he died he was denied a funeral at this church. After that, I continued to go to this church on occasion, but I realized what it really was. This church is not for us to come as we are. They gossip and eye down people for how they dress. They have told people apart of the church to leave because they didn't fit "Good Christian" behavior, but to that I say your hats are not that big and your Sunday best is not that great. I am not from Peoria. I come to visit family. I live in a six bedroom mansion and I read Aristotle for fun. I speak three langauges, and a virgin in my twenties. That is not what makes me better than those who judge at the church. What makes me better is how I act as a child of god. How I spread his message. How I love my brothers and sisters in their worst scenarios even if no one is watching. And I love the rhetoric in how pastor Hubbard speaks giving the beautiful message of god, but it does not make up for the sins of the church. Still, I know when it is my dying day, I will meet my sins and have them washed away by god. Could he really wash away yours?
